STA Assure – the Structural Timber Association’s Membership and Quality Standards Scheme, was proud sponsor of the recent Building Awards – Housing Project of the Year. South Gardens entered by Maccreanor Lavington, was presented with the Housing Project of the Year Award by STA Chief Executive Andrew Carpenter. South Gardens delivers 15% of the 2,469 homes planned, and comprises a mix of three-storey town houses, seven- to 10-storey Edwardian-inspired mansion blocks and a 16-storey tower, all linked by an ambitious network of landscaped public spaces. Amid the well-executed historic references, real innovation is shown by the townhouses achieving Passivhaus standard. 

STA Assure is designed to benefit both clients and members by promoting the differing accreditations and quality standards held by individual STA member companies. This scheme offers reassurances to the construction community that STA members meet or even exceed current legislation and regulatory requirements. STA Assure has received formal recognition from six of the industry’s leading structural warranty and building control bodies - LABC Warranty, Premier Guarantee, Protek Warranty, Build-Zone Warranty, Self-Build Zone Warranty CRL and the NHBC.
