MiTek’s UK chief steps down after 19 years at the helm

After 19 years with MiTek, David Fraser has stepped down as the managing director of MiTek Industries Ltd.

MiTek, which provides software solutions for structural timber engineering and the provision of steel connector products for floor and roofing systems, said Mr Fraser had brought strong leadership to its UK & Irish business and has overseen a very successful period in MiTek’s history.

“We thank him for his hard work and dedication over such a long period of time,” it said.

With Mr Fraser’s departure MiTek has announced changes to its senior management structure, including the appointment of James Morgan as the new MD of MiTek in the UK and Ireland.

Having worked within the company since 1997 in various roles, Mr Morgan has most recently held the position of business development director and has had the benefit of working alongside Mr Fraser for many years.

As part of a further restructuring of the business, Richard George has been appointed as technical director. Mr George joined MiTek in 1988 and has successfully led the company’s customer support department for the past 12 years.

In his new role he will have the additional responsibility for the engineering team, including the design office.
